McElligot's Pool 1st Edition 1947

Rare collectible 1st Edition 1947 Random House Dr. Seuss' McElligot's Pool G / F nice shape! See images, some wear on the edges of the cover, back & spine. Rich original colors, minor staining on a few pages, slight creasing at the bottom of the pages (not corners), but no writing or kid’s play on the pages. Slight stain on the cover if you look hard enough, and very little embossing. Stitching is in excellent shape, all pages are firmly attached. I’m not a professional bookseller, so I’m not sure what else to look for, but this is the 1947 first edition from Random House, with the code 22 866 on the copyright page. No dustjacket. Great chance to own an original of this beautiful banned and out of print Dr. Seuss classic.
