- PREMIUM FRESHNESS. Our red king crab legs are cleaned and cooked in boiling salt water shortly after catch and then ice glazed and flash frozen to lock in flavor and nutrients. We ship them to you in an insulated container with dry ice.
- SIZE. Smaller numbers are larger legs. Both the 6/9 Colossal and 9/12 Jumbo are among the largest crab legs available. The industry standard measurement is # of legs per 10lbs, so the colossal will have between 6 and 9 legs per 10 pounds the jumbo between 9 and 12 legs per pound (both including claws and knuckles)
- HOW MUCH TO ORDER. These large legs yield 40-50% of their total weight in meat — a 1-pound leg will yield as much as a 1/2 pound of delicious meat. Plan for 1.5–2 pounds of crab legs/person for an entrée or 1 pound per person if served with other dishes.
- SIMPLE, ELEGANT MEAL. Fully cooked and ready to eat. Simply thaw overnight in the refrigerator or run cold water over the legs for a quick thaw. (PRO TIP: Remove the packaging and place crab in a container to catch the protective saltwater glaze as it melts. And if you’re sensitive to salt, run cold water over the legs before eating or heating.) Enjoy cold or warm. To heat, we recommend steaming to retain moisture. Serve with melted butter, lemon wedges, or your favorite dipping sauce.
